who do not already hold a formal qualification.

The Level 2 Awards in MOT Testing have been developed in collaboration with the
Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency DVSA to give learners the knowledge and
skills required to perform MOT Tests. This qualification is a requirement for
learners who wish to gain the DVSA Certificate of Competence for MOT Testers.
These qualifications are a requirement for learners who wish to gain the DVSA
Certificate of Competence in order to become an MOT Tester for vehicles in classes 4
& 7. Achieving these qualifications will enable learners to apply to the DVSA
for their Certificate of Competence.
Once a learner has achieved their Certificate of Competence from the DVSA, they will
be able to be nominated as an MOT Tester by an MOT Testing Station.
1-2 Day Course
These qualifications are a requirement for learners who wish to gain the DVSA
Certificate of
Competence in order to become an MOT Tester for vehicles in classes 4 & 7.
Achieving
these qualifications will enable learners to apply to the DVSA for their Certificate
of Competence.
Once a learner has achieved their Certificate of Competence from the DVSA, they will
be able to be nominated as an MOT Tester by an MOT Testing Station.

When you pass your Award in MOT testing qualification your nearly there! You will
need to do a DVSA demo test. This is free if you use your own station or you can
use our site for a small fee. We can help to arrange your final observation day and
offer an additional 1 days routine training.
We offer an extra full days MOT routine training as practice 24 hours before your
final DVSA observation, or you can hire our VTS station for a 3 hour slot just for
your
demo test.
Which includes specialist fault finding homework for the MTS system. A mentor then
acts as your MOT assistant during your final DVSA observation.
Ideal if your employer refuses to sponsor you.
MOT Managers Course
This qualification is required if you wish to run an MOT Vehicle Test Station and is
a
recognised qualification by DVSA.
The qualification is primarily developed for learners who wish to run an MOT Vehicle
Testing Station, or who will have direct responsibility for MOT operations at a VTS
in
the future.
The Level 3 Award in MOT Test Centre Management qualification is a lifetime
qualification, which means that it will not expire.
